The Historic Tugboat Elmore Seeks a New Steward
The Port of Port Townsend has assumed custody of the historic tugboat Elmore and is actively seeking a qualified new owner to undertake her repair and restoration. The vessel, which has been hauled out in the Port’s boatyard since February 2023, represents over 130 years of Pacific Northwest maritime heritage.
The Port welcomes inquiries from serious prospective stewards who are committed to preserving this significant piece of working waterfront history. A comprehensive, formal vessel survey is available here.
